We are a small company that builds between 2 and 5 homes per year. We think this small volume keeps us in touch with the clients and their needs. We are able to keep the crews on each of the jobs until completion therefore guaranteeing a complete follow through of quality and accountability during the process of construction.
I believe this smaller volume and attention to detail is what will set apart a home built by us. We take pride in our work and will not cut corners to save time or money. We believe in quality and this is a corner stone of our business. I instruct each and every employee to be thoughtful of every detail as we build your home. Our worksites are clean, tidy, safe and run efficiently.
As the owner, I am involved in every aspect of the process along the way. This keeps me in touch with the projects and the client’s needs. I am there during the initial client meeting, ground breaking, forming, framing, and every finish detail. I believe in quality and will be sure that it is in every home built by Bill Darrah Builders. I also help the clients with material selection if necessary; from cabinets to carpet I am there to help along the way, making the process enjoyable for all.
I have only the most highly skilled and experienced craftsmen on my team. My staff of 5 to 7 full time carpenters has been with me from 2 to 8 years. These guys are the best at what they do. They are there for you from the initial layout of the site to installing the numbers on the house for final inspection. Complete accountability.
We realize that building a custom home may be one of the largest investments that your family will ever make both financially as well as emotionally. This process can seem overwhelming and impossible. We are here to help you through the entire process from design, budgeting and answering all of the important questions along the way. We believe that the process can be very rewarding and even fun.

Services
Feasibility meeting - We will arrange a complimentary feasibility site meeting to discuss remodeling or new construction opportunities and budgeting.
Complimentary research - We will be happy to research site issues which might affect your project, including zoning, septic location, and possible variance requirements.
Architectural design - We can arrange the design of your project by one of several highly regarded local architects or we can work with a client selected architect.
Budgeting - We provide preliminary budgeting numbers based on detailed written assumptions as well as drawings. Then we move into a “Price Planning” contract that provides the client with detailed cost analysis for a nominal fee.
Scheduling - We will provide a schedule of construction that you can use to plan your move in dates and other events relevant to the completion of the project.
Selections - We will work directly if necessary on selecting materials and pricing them to fit the budget.
Site and Production Management - Every Bill Darrah Builders project has a job superintendent that will be your direct job site contact from start to finish. These craftsmen understand the level of detail and accountability that we expect. They are there to answer questions and facilitate the process as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.
Construction - We use the most skilled and reputable subcontractors. These subcontractors have several years of proven track records in quality, performance and stability. Because of this, you can count on them being there for us throughout the project process.
We also use our own staff of framing carpenters as well as finish carpenters for a continuity of detail and quality.
Warranty - We provide a one year warranty against defects in workmanship and beyond that we carry a moral warranty to make sure you are completely happy.
